Israeli air strikes hit Gaza for a second day on Sunday, with Palestinian tallies of 8 to 18 dead and no Israeli answer to the US disarmament roadmap. Ukrainian drones killed at least nine in Russian regions the same day, among them a 13-year-old girl in Belgorod region; Russian strikes killed at least five in Ukraine. Bombings killed three in a Moscow restaurant and at least 14 at a police station in Pakistan's Swat Valley. Emergency Lawyers blamed Sudan's army for a drone strike on a North Darfur court that killed at least 35.
Seven OPEC+ states agreed to add 188,000 barrels a day in September, finishing the rollback of their 2023 cuts, and Japan and the United States intervened jointly to support the yen last week, their first such move since 2011 per Nikkei Asia.
