Israeli strikes on two southern Lebanese villages killed at least 11 people on Saturday, the deadliest day since the June truce with Hezbollah, and Hamas's Khalil al-Hayya met Egypt's intelligence chief in Cairo on Sunday. Moscow's mayor said about 600 drones headed for the city overnight as Russian missiles hit Kyiv and Kryvyi Rih. Seoul proposed talks to replace the 1953 armistice; North Korea denounced coming US-South Korean drills. Houthi missiles struck Marib, and a magnitude 7.7 earthquake off Indonesia's Flores island killed at least 51.

Cooling US consumer prices lifted stocks and European indices extended record highs, while research cited by the New York Times shows pay again lagging prices. Bloomberg reports bond investors struggling to price some $70bn of opaque credit guarantees behind the data-centre boom, as OpenAI's annualised revenue passed $40 billion.

Barely reported: the WHO says Ebola in northeastern Congo is outpacing the response and spreading faster than any previous outbreak. France's finance ministry says those hit by the tax-portal hack will be contacted from Monday.
