Israeli soldiers moved Palestinian families out of their besieged homes in Qusra in the occupied West Bank on Thursday; the settlers blockading them since Sunday stayed. An Israeli drone killed Gaza City's police chief, Jamal Abu Kamil, and the UN envoy warned Yemen is nearer to all-out war than at any time since the 2022 truce. Kyiv offered Moscow a truce on attacks on civilian shipping in the Black Sea, which Moscow says has not reached it, as Ukrainian drones shut Russia's Orsk refinery. Tokyo summoned Russia's ambassador over Putin's visit to the disputed Kurils.

Producer prices in the US were unchanged in July and the S&P 500 closed at a record, as Trump imposed duties of up to 100 percent on imported drones and parts. DeepSeek raised prices sharply with V4 Pro, and SMIC and Hua Hong posted triple-digit profit growth.
