Michoacán cartel violence

Where things stand

Members of the United Cartels set fire to a town in Michoacán after soldiers raided the group and arrested one of its top leaders, Breitbart reported on Monday. The report names neither the town nor any casualties.

Michoacán, a state in western Mexico, is contested by organised crime groups, among them the alliance known as the United Cartels. Mexican security forces run raids there against the groups' leadership, and the groups strike back at towns and infrastructure. This topic follows that confrontation.
