Incumbent President Iliana Iotova led the first round with 35.3% in an exit poll cited by TASS, short of an outright win, and faces former caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov in a run-off next week. Turnout was at a historic low, according to Telesur, and barely reached 16% by 4:00 p.m. local time, according to TASS.
