Symbolic imageLithuania calls Starlink fire sabotage as Baltic tensions rise
Officials say a fire at a Starlink centre in Lithuania was sabotage, the New York Times reports. On Monday a Bulgarian court ordered the arrest of two Germans over a similar fire.
The Lithuanian fire did not seriously damage the network and followed similar incidents in Bulgaria and Poland, the Times says. Bulgarian prosecutors say the two Germans entered from Serbia on 9 October, spent a few hours in the country and returned, after allegedly burning Starlink antennas at the Plana telecom centre south of Sofia. The court approved a European arrest warrant, and BTA reports they face three to 12 years in prison if convicted.
