Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Interfax that chief negotiator Vladimir Medinsky will be joined by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, attending for the first time, and General Staff officer Yuri Zhigarlovsky. Bloomberg, relayed by Politika, says the lineup may signal Moscow's readiness for political and military talks.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Saturday that Europeans have no place at the table and that Russia treats any foreign troops in Ukraine as legitimate targets. Duma committee chair Pyotr Tolstoy told TASS on Sunday that a deployment under a truce is unacceptable.
No more Patriots from Berlin
Defence Minister Boris Pistorius told Funke that Germany cannot supply more Patriots without creating gaps in its own defences. He sees little chance of a near-term ceasefire.
