South Korean sergeant dies at frontline unit as North Korea vows faster nuclear buildup

A South Korean army staff sergeant died after suffering external injuries at a frontline unit in Cheorwon on Monday morning, Seoul's Defence Ministry said. TASS reports that North Korea will keep rapidly strengthening its nuclear capabilities, while China's Foreign Ministry urged a political settlement after the North's cluster-bomb warhead test (Global Times).
