Venezuela quake death toll likely far higher than official count, NYT analysis finds

A New York Times analysis and U.S. Geological Survey data indicate that the official death toll of 6,509 is probably a severe undercount. The Times also published a 3-D reconstruction of why several apartment towers collapsed in the earthquakes that struck Venezuela in June.
