Taiwan says hackers from overseas used AI agents, among them OpenClaw, against government agencies in an intrusion that began in late July, combining automated and manual techniques. Taipei has named no country and given no figures on damage.

The topic follows intrusions in which attackers deploy AI agents that chain attack techniques instead of doing every step by hand, pitting state networks against operators who can automate much of the work. In Taiwan, the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the National Institute of Cyber Security monitor such attacks and issue alerts.
