Canada offers concessions to avert 50 percent US tariffs

Prime Minister Mark Carney is offering the United States concessions in trade talks to prevent 50 percent tariffs on many Canadian goods scheduled for this month, the New York Times reported. Ottawa is at the same time demanding a comprehensive agreement.
