Amazon's robotaxi unit Zoox received federal approval for its vehicle without a steering wheel, permission to charge passengers and clearance to deploy up to 5,000 vehicles, according to reporting by the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg on Thursday. Al Jazeera reported that the company will launch its commercial service in Las Vegas.
