Pentagon opens review of US troop levels in Europe

The Pentagon announced what its Under Secretary of War for Policy called a real review of American force deployment in Europe, designed to ensure that NATO moves fast and irreversibly toward Europe taking primary responsibility for its conventional defence. The FAZ commented that the goal of the review is already fixed and that the result will please Vladimir Putin.
