Ukrainian ex-officer goes on trial in Hamburg over Nord Stream sabotage

The trial of Serhii Kuznetsov, a Ukrainian former officer accused of leading the group of divers that placed explosives on the Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea, opened in Hamburg on Wednesday. Al Jazeera reports it is expected to run into February and could test Germany's political stance on Ukraine.
