A court in Britain convicted a Norwegian teenager of conspiracy to commit murder after recruitment by a Swedish organised crime group that prosecutors say Iran was using, according to the South China Morning Post and The National. In the United States, a jury found Hadi Matar guilty of federal terrorism charges for stabbing and partially blinding the author Salman Rushdie in 2022; evidence at the trial showed Matar had researched the fatwa against Rushdie for more than a year before the attack.
