A tanker carrying Russian diesel is sailing toward a US port, the first such shipment since the agreement between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, according to Reuters, Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal. Le Monde reports it is due in New York on 7 November, four days after the midterm elections, and says the deal aims to lower fuel prices before the vote.
