Symbolic imagePutin puts more European firms' Russian assets under temporary management
President Vladimir Putin has placed the Russian assets of several European companies, including French flooring maker Tarkett, Ontex (owner of the Helen Harper diaper brand) and three foreign packaging firms, under temporary management. The Kremlin's Dmitry Peskov said the step is not aimed at a change of ownership and that the firms' origin in countries holding Russian assets was one factor in the decision.
