In his nightly address on Tuesday, 6 October, Zelensky said updated intelligence shows Russia is preparing a massive attack, and that Ukrainian services and the air force would respond within the means available. According to Handelsblatt, he urged citizens to heed missile alerts. He said much depends on partners and called for political will in the United States and Europe to provide defensive weapons. Handelsblatt adds that Ukrainian air defence is short of ammunition, above all for systems that counter ballistic missiles.
Kharkiv region

Bridges and Kyiv
Russian forces struck a Dnipro bridge in Zaporizhzhia overnight into Tuesday, regional military head Mykhailo Semikin said. Five people were hurt, including two Red Cross staff, and traffic was halted. Meduza notes that Kyiv's Northern and Southern bridges have been hit several times since early October. Early Wednesday, two people died in a missile attack on Kyiv's Darnytsky district, according to military authorities.
Minibus attack in Zaporizhzhia region
Governor Yevgeny Balitsky said an "enemy" drone hit a minibus in the village of Basanj in Polohy municipality, killing three people including the driver and injuring three.

Serbia's state-affiliated Politika reports only the minibus attack, citing Balitsky, who blames an "enemy" drone. The other outlets focus on Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities.
