Russian missiles, drones and glide bombs killed at least ten people across Ukraine overnight into Tuesday. Kyiv says North Korean missiles were used.
Zaporizhzhia was hit hardest overnight into Tuesday, 11 August: the head of the regional administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported six dead and 19 wounded, Zelensky put the toll there at seven. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian drones and artillery killed three more people, including a 15-year-old boy. In Kyiv, a missile fell near a children's hospital without casualties. Zelensky said, without providing evidence, that Moscow is also preparing to send more North Korean troops.
Warning of an autumn call-up
Zelensky said on Tuesday evening that internal Russian documents show preparations to mobilise several hundred thousand men in the autumn, right after what he called a simulated parliamentary election. Kyiv will make those plans as hard to carry out as possible, he said.
Drones strike Russian regions
Voronezh governor Alexander Gusev said Ukrainian drones killed a 49-year-old man, injured two and set two warehouses on fire; RWB (Wildberries Russ) said its logistics sites were evacuated. Monitoring channels claim, unconfirmed, that a refinery in Orsk was hit too.
Proposals for Washington
Zelensky said Ukraine has conveyed its proposals for ending the war to the American side.
