NATO jets shoot down drone over Latvia

4 sources

Italian Eurofighter jets shot down a drone that had entered Latvian airspace on Friday, a decision the defence ministry said was taken to avert a threat to Latvia's population. Separately, drone debris was found on a Romanian holiday beach, where police and gendarmerie secured the site and tourists were evacuated while the origin of the aircraft is being established.
