Robot participation quadrupled at the second World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, in a country that counts more than 140 humanoid robot manufacturers and aims to become the world's leading producer and user by 2030. Le Monde reports that China is more quietly building its dominance in industrial robotics, while the capital's first commercial robot noodle eatery, where robots take orders, cook and serve, has begun trial runs before opening to the public in late August.
