Symbolic imageSpaceX closes $60bn takeover of Cursor
SpaceX has completed its $60 billion purchase of the AI coding company Cursor. Bloomberg reported the closing on Friday.
The closing was reported on Friday, 14 August by Bloomberg in a short item that gave no further detail on terms, financing or how Cursor will be run. At that price the purchase ranks among the largest technology acquisitions on record and moves a leading maker of software development tools into the group of companies controlled by Elon Musk. No statement from either side appears in the reporting at hand, and questions such as regulatory clearances, the future of Cursor's staff and the product's place inside SpaceX remain unanswered.
